Privacy Policy

Novio (“the App”) is an anime AI companion app published by Ilia Kalinin (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the App collects, why, and what happens to it.

1. No account

The App does not ask you to create an account, log in, or provide an email address or phone number. The name you enter during onboarding is stored only on your device.

2. Conversations

When you send a message to a companion, the text of your recent messages in that chat (at most the last 50) is sent to our server so an AI language model can generate the reply. Our server forwards the messages to a third-party language model provider (fal.ai, using OpenRouter models) and returns the answer to the App.

We do not store your messages on our server. Conversation history lives only on your device, and deleting the App or using “Delete my data” in the You tab removes it. The language model provider processes messages to produce the reply; see fal.ai’s privacy policy for their retention terms.

Your messages are never used to train our own models, and we never sell them.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions and gem packs are sold through Apple’s App Store. Purchase processing and receipt validation are handled by RevenueCat on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase information from Apple; it never receives your name, email or chat content. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details.

4. Technical data

Our server keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, timestamp, request size) for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated within days and are not linked to any identity.

The App does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking across other apps and websites.

5. Age

The App is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. All companions are fictional adult characters.

6. Your rights

Because we keep no account data and no server-side chat history, there is nothing to export or delete on our side beyond the technical logs described above. To delete local data, use “Delete my data” in the You tab or uninstall the App. For any request or question, write to novioaiapp@gmail.com.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be noted inside the App.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Novio app (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the App. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on compatible devices you own or control.

4. AI companions

Companions in the App are fictional AI characters. Their replies are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or inappropriate despite our safeguards. They are not a substitute for human relationships, medical, legal or financial advice, or emergency services. If you are in distress, contact a local helpline or emergency number.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Gems are a virtual currency with no monetary value, non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by law. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

6. Restrictions

You agree not to reverse engineer or copy the App, to use it for unlawful purposes, or to attempt to make companions produce content that violates applicable law.

7. Termination

We may suspend access to the App’s online features if these Terms are violated.
